Introduction
The CM-600-4TX-PTP module adds precision time protocol support to the EDS-600 for time-critical industrial environments. This module for the EDS-600 series switches has 4 fast Ethernet ports and support for IEEE 1588v2, which reduces the message delay between devices to nanoseconds. Compared to traditional devices that rely on GPS for time synchronization, the IEEE 1588 V2-compliant CM-600-4TX-PTP switch module is a cost-effective solution that synchronizes your devices over an Ethernet network with minimal extra effort thanks to Moxa’s user-friendly web configuration , which lets you quickly configure the IEEE 1588 parameters to fit your IEEE 1588 network system.
