Moxa is pleased to release the CSM-200 series of slide-in Ethernet-to-fiber modules for the NRack Systemâ„¢. The modules provide media conversion from 10/100BaseT(X) to 100BaseFX (SC or ST connector) for fiber optic transmission up to 40 km. For secure remote failure detection of connected devices, the CSM-200 series supports the TS-1000 protocol. Users can switch between store-and-forward mode for high performance throughput and cut-through mode for real-time response with a simple DIP switch. The CSM-200 series also features hot swapping, so modules can be installed or removed without interrupting the entire system.

CSM-200 modules are used with Moxa's NRack Systemâ„¢, which consists of 3 major components: a 19-slot rackmount chassis, slide-in modules for Ethernet-to-fiber and serial-to-fiber expansion, and power supply modules. The NRack Systemâ„¢ accommodates up to 19 slide-in modules within its rack mountable chassis and comes with an AC/DC power input for greater flexibility. Designed for simple wiring in high density applications, Moxa's chassis-type NRack Systemâ„¢ media converters are ideal for centralized management applications that require multiple several converters to be deployed in a confined space.

The CSM-200 series supports Moxa's Turbo Ring and can work perfectly with EDS series switches for applications in harsh environments that require a rugged solution with high density media conversion. This makes the NRack Systemâ„¢ with CSM-200 Ethernet-to-fiber modules the optimal choice for centralized network systems such as road-way and factory automation.
