Supplied Solutions is very pleased to announce the launch of MOXA's IKS-6726-8PoE, a modular rackmount managed Ethernet switch equipped with 8 PoE ports to power networked devices via Ethernet cables. Aimed at harsh industrial environments, the managed Ethernet switches also support Turbo Ring™ and Turbo Chain™ redundant technologies, wide operating temperature, dual power input support, and advanced network management functions such as IEEE 1588 PTP, Modbus/TCP, LLDP, QoS, IGMP snooping, VLAN, and SNMPv3.
With a modular design, IKS-6726-8PoE can support up to 16 PoE ports under the 120W power limit, leading to significant savings on wiring costs. The support of high-density PoE ports makes the IKS-6726-8PoE ideal for security automation deployments such as IP surveillance and gate of entry systems, where cabling can be a great hassle. Foreseeing the high bandwidth demand for video transmission, the IKS-6726-8PoE also provides 2 slots for Gigabit RJ45/SFP ports to transmit large amounts of multimedia information across the network quickly.
The IKS-6726-8PoE can be powered by either 48 VDC or 110/220 VDC/VAC. Such dual power inputs provide flexible powering options and redundancy capability, while reducing damage due to power failures to the minimum. Besides power redundancy, the IKS-6726-8PoE also features Turbo Ring™ and Turbo Chain™ network redundancy capability with a fast recovery time of less than 20 ms, so as to ensure maximum network uptime and high fault tolerance.
In addition, the IKS-6726-8PoE meets several industry standards, including NEMA TS2 for road traffic, EN50121-4 for rail traffic, and UL60950-1 for safety. Since the IKS-6726-8PoE is designed for mission-critical applications such as traffic control systems, power automation, and critical facility surveillance, the approval of the industry standards, as well as a wide range of operating temperature from -40 to 75 degrees Celsius for outdoor field site cabinet deployments, reassures customers of the switch’s stability and reliability in the demanding environments.
